Every Thursday you can follow the crowd and smells to a unique downtown lunch experience. Found on the south side of the Gallivan Center, 300 South between State Street and Main Street, from 11am-2pm. A foodie’s paradise opens up as trucks line both sides of the street offering a variety of tasty meal options. Food Truck Thursday features some of Salt Lake City’s favorite food trucks. Every week new trucks are invited; creating an unpredictable and delicious mealtime feast.
In the last couple years the number of these restaurants on wheels have increased, extending more culinary options for the downtown dweller’s palette. Pick a truck, and you will find specialties in everything from sushi and pizza to hamburgers to crêpes.
Unlike taco carts that are found at the same location, food trucks move around the city, parking at video stores, call centers, banks, college campuses, concert venues, festivals and fairs. Hungry diners can track food trucks on Facebook, Twitter, or the one-stop-shop website Roaming Hunger.
Below is a list of food trucks you will find tomorrow, May 21. Popularity has led to some long lines, so if you have a short lunch; show up early.
– Chow Truck
– Wilma’s Gourmet Food
– Gravy Train Poutinerie
– Grub Truck
– Matterhorn
– Syracuse Bajio Taco
– Food Cartel

Proving to be no fad, do you consider food trucks the definition of delicious?
